Change "showthread.php" link

Is it possible to change showthread.php and few similar "sublinks"?

Why would you want to do that exactly? It'd require a lot of custom coding.

Because forum is Croatian, so I want Croatian "sublinks" because it's a little stupid to have totally different sublinks etc and it look unproffesional for me.

Imagine that you have on English forum that links on Germany or Croatian...

I know that will be a lot of coding, but where, and is it possible?

It's a hell oif a lot you would need to edit, and it's nothing that could be done in a matter of minutes or simply explained in a few lines of post, as you seem to think.

If you don't know where to start, keep your fingers off it, you're sure to break things. Or pay someone to do it.

If you have a good text editor, it should be able to search all files in a directory for a certain phrase, like showthread, and then do a replace. You'll have to also do the same in all the templates and phrases (although you may be able to get away with just using the Replacement Manager for those).

Have you thought about enabling friendly url's? Its not a custom edit, but it'll make that part of the url go away and replace it with something nicer looking :)

Nobody that I know of has ever asked to have this done, so there really aren't any steps we can write out since none of us has ever tried to do it before. You would basically have to replace all showthread.php in all the files with the new name, and the same in all templates and phrases. And, rename the file itself, of course.

Please be aware that if you ever have problems on your site and ask for help, the first thing people will tell you is to upload all new default files to your site and to use a totally default style. That means to undo all your custom work.
