[Help] VbPortal in progress

hello guys ...

since i learned PHP and i am working with it everyday to achive the TOP levels.

anyway ... i have a project .... actually a big project that looks like a portal (polls - news - categories - spot lights - alot alot .... etc )

i am trying to integrate the users of VB with this project so that the users can made polls and news.

after i finish this project you will like it so much .... because this project is like the CNN.

my project is absolutly seperated from Vb but it needs the user's table. i can made my project as an independent portal ... but since i am using the Vb .. i just would like to see the whole stuff together.

i am asking support from people here and gonna share the portal with them for free. no pushing to support :)

ermmmm did wajones copyright the name vbportal ? and also if he did has he informed vbulletin he is using their name in his product ?

If you need anyhelp with regards to graphics and design I would be glad to help m8, lets keep code hacks free how they should be.

I don't believe Mr. Jones needs to seek permission from Jelsoft to use the name vbPortal as it is in no infringes on any trademark or copyright they may hold. If that were true one could use the assumption that Jelsoft is infringing on Microsoft for using the term vB as in the larger scheme of things vB implies Visual Basic which is a trademark of Microsoft.

Now creating another portal and calling it vbPortal would clearly be an infringement on Mr. Jones' portal package called vbPortal. Under current copyright law one does not need to file with the US Copyright office to receive copyright protection as long as they place the appropriate notice in their works. As far as protecting trademarks, patents, etc., the existing vbPortal is currently protected from infringement as a result of "Prior Art" meaning he was the first to create the portal package with that name.

I just wanted to clear up the confusion, not trying to start an argument. Actually, I look forward to what veron_23 comes up with.

Let me clear it .... VbPortal is just a start name for each portal that works with Vbulletin friendly. So my hack's is a Vbportal called (unknown) yet. so is jones one is a Vbportal called Vbportal.

anyway i don't like to start my project with troubles :) ..... My project has no name yet ... we can have a name for it later ... i don't looking for benefits from this portal rather than helping you and myself with trading knowledges and geting the usefull from it.

Hope i made my self clear.
currently i am translating the portal to English and i guess it gonna takes around an hour .. lets hope you like my work ... because i am satisfied with it. :D
