Secondary Usergroups

I have a quick question about Secondary Usergroups. I am a bit confused as to exactly how they work. My reason for needing one is this: I Have vBCredits, vBShop, ad vBArcade. All working great after much learning and tweaking. I even figured out a way of implementing an "arcade pass" You can change a usergroup to not have to pay for the arcade in credits by having a secondary usergroup added via the shop.

My question is, what exactly does the secondary usergroup do? does it show up anywhere? I pretty much made a 2nd usergroup which was matched to the regular members. but added the feature of them using the arcade for free.

are there any disadvantages to this? if a mod/admin/mega mod has that 2nd usergroup does that hurt them?

Secondary group just gives the primary group all the permissons that the secondary group has, so the primary group can do all the primary group permissions and also the secondary group permissions while keeping the primary usergroup title/name.

No, secondary groups attached to a mod does not limit anything, it gives them extra permissions they would not have had, if they did not have the secondary group attached without changing the primary usergroup.

Thanks Jain, would they mess up ranks at all? Would they use the primary ranks, or secondary, and does the 2nd group show up anywhere in profile, or members list or anything like that?
