Articles and Threads discussion

Ok, so I have turned of comments in the Article system but I have noticed by doing this, the reply to thread button is also gone in the forums.
How can I turn the comments off but keep the forum open for discussion?

Hmm it shouldn't do that when enabling the CMS/articles, sure you have not changed any other settings recently?

Try AdminCP > Maintenance > Clear System Cache

If that does not do it then disable then re-enable the CMS then clear the cache again, now try.

Strange behaviour..

Open the article for editing, click comments NO then save.
Go to the forums where the CMS creates the thread and you should find that your thread has been soft deleted.
Click Manage, then Undelete it (Restore) then save. All is well again.

That is of course if you don't edit the same article again. If you do, then all the steps above have to be repeated once more.

Some kind of logic I am missing here.. Anyway, that's the way around it.

Thanks for the response. If I hadn't have noticed the soft delete, I would have done as you suggested.
