Duplicate content

As far as I have seen, vb4 publishes articles twice if the forum and CMS is enabled risking duplicate content, this may well concern me.
How do I switch off this idea?

Is it just a matter of turning off comments in every article created?
I would like to keep the forum side of things but disable any discussion in the articles.

If comments are on, then a thread gets created for the article. But, the content of the article is not placed in the thread, just a link to the article.
