Automatically move usergroup after x days?

Is there any way to set a user to switch groups after x days from the day they were added to the group? Basically, we have a premier membership level that is only good for a year, and I don't feel like manually keeping track of it.

Yes it is possible, look in to .. AdminCP > Usergroups > Promotions

So is "join date" the date they joined that group, or the date they joined the site?

I usually use the subscriptions manager for this purpose. How are your memberships being handled currently?
