Search for New Threads

Several members have been asking for this at vBulletin.com and vBulletin.org, and I really don't understand why a mod for this has never been released.

The idea is to have on the main page a button to search for new threads posted since member's last visit or since member has marked all forums read.

All the mods I have seen claiming to do this are in fact about New Posts, not New Threads. In other words, when a thread gets a new reply, it is considered again a new thread. That's not what we want.

One exception is this mod : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=234616
It displays in Admin CP the latest 10 threads posted.

So please don't tell me it's impossible to come up with what we need. :)

Thanks for taking the time to reply, but again it is missing "the target". Your code gives me a search for "new posts - showresults as threads", not for new threads. I repeat that we don't want to see a thread started like in 2009 considered new just because he got a new reply today ! The idea is for the members to get quick access to threads started since their last visit or since the last time they marked all forums read.
