Easily allow users to send Dogecoins to each other on your vBulletin forum. Great for tipping forum users for great posts, quality content, and helping others out.

Allow tipping between users of your vBulletin forum
Incentives for your users to create quality content

This plugin is great for increasing quality content across your site. Encourage members to post quality posts, and in return for that, users will receive virtual currency, which in turn can be traded for real money, and/or bit-coins.

This plugin allows the admin of the vBulletin forum, to easily install Dogecoin symbols in every post, which will allow forum users who read that post, to quickly discover the users dogecoin address. Once another user knows the original posters Dogecoin address, they can send ?x? Dogecoins, to tip the user.

Multiple Locations to place Dogecoin

Place it in the postbit legacy, or postbit. Or if you want it in the postbit footer. Very flexible and no coding necessary.

What are Dogecoins?

Read this getting started guide (http://dogecoin.com/get-started). (FYI) We did not create this virtual currency.

Whys? this free?

We believe in open source too! And we also want to show that we believe that Dogecoin is a great currency. Therefore, vBSocial.com is here to support and back this plugin?which may have an outreach to thousands of vBulletin forums out there, ultimately, touching millions of users, with your help by sharing it.

Can I donate to this project?

Yes, our dogecoin address is: DUAJZonBbzo69N4mrxbH8u72WAv2gek48E

How can I buy dogecoins?
You can use a market exchange like Cryptsy (https://www.cryptsy.com/users/register?refid=191434).

Installation:
1. Install .xml, upload images to correct folder location
2. Add profile field in admincp: Dogecoin Address > Single Text Field.

Done.

I'm confused.

As idea, this seems really great, virtual money as "real" reward for someone useful and/or funny posts. But execution is what I don't understand.

Now, as I can see, link leads to user's about me profile page.

Where user can post it's doge address? As I can see, there's no specific place made by this mod.

Also, why go to user's profile?

I looked a bit here: https://www.dogeapi.com/widget_documentation You can make code that would automatically get info user provided for their doge address, you can not show doge button if user hasn't entered his address, you can have quick amount chooser, including custom amount...

I think this mod has great potential, but at the moment, I think it lacks pretty much of what it would make it easy to be used on our sites.

Please, make it into something great...

Definitely has potential. Would love to see a bitcoins option as well. :)

The page loaded for me earlier but took a very long time. The video shows a demo though.

Will improve it further this weekend. I suppose it may be more effective to add, just need more time :)
-popup with address
-hide if user does not enter a dogycoin address

Nice concept Dave! I love to see new ideas like this! I would use it on my own site but I just do not think many if any of my members use any virtual currency. I may have some clients though that could use it.

Great work!

Well the page did load after waiting forever.
Here is the video for those interested.

To the OP, it looks like it just create a link to their profile which has their address is that correct? Wouldn't a profile field be the same thing?

Also I don't think it's "doggy" coin, I say it like "dog" coin, but I've seen the founders describe it as "douge" coin.

Anyways.. glad to see some development in crypto-currencies, hope this improves a bit more to be really useful :)

I think it is simple and useful - except the icon doesn't show up in the postbit.

I installed the 2 graphics files in the right directory (keeping the folder structure) but still no joy.

Running 4.2.2 PL1

Any ideas?

i think this is a great idea but the truth of the matter is most users are to lazy to do all the work.

If you were to install dogecoind on your server or a remote server and built this plugin so each user is generated their own wallet address that would be super easy.

Users could then send coins to their wallet address on the website and you could add an actual tip button and allow users to tip right there! think of it as the Thank You Mod it could show a list of all users who had tipped that poster and the amount.

The users who received the tip could keep the coin in his wallet on the site or transfer to his real wallet.

I would be willing to pay $$ to see this developed.

I think the developer of this mod could combine it with this project http://jeremymouton.github.io/cointipper/ to automatically open up a wallet and prefill the address and amount fields.

That would be slick.
