I put up a forum announcement and the entire forum started freaking out. Members could not post, and I could not use my admin privileges.
Why is this???

I once had a co-admin forget to close a tag in an announcement and chaos ensued. But I can't imagine it would have anything to do with not being able to log in as admin.

There is a bug regarding adding announcements - http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-11430

The image uploader sucks. Is there a different on we can use that posts the pictures in a full size instead of thumbnails?
As far as I can tell this has been the only bug I can see (we have only been up for a week) is that. The site just goes ape shit when you make an announcement.

I would stay far far away from vb5, maybe another 500 days and it'll be something to test.
If you purchased vb 5, you should have access to a working product called vbulletin 4 ;)
enjoy

How can I switch over? How difficult is it? Especially since we already have registered users on the forum with content.

Spangle, i assume that you are talking about hte IMAGES and the box that says "Dont reference locally" I could not find anything like that in the ADMIN Settings. The closest was this and I want people to be able to UPLOAD photos, so if I turn this off... they will need a URL to post a photo?
Advanced Insert Image Popup - Enable
Enabling this option will turn on the Advanced Insert Image Dialog, which will allow users to insert images from the computer, or retrieve images referenced from a URL and store them locally. Disabling this option will display the legacy from URL attachment dialog.

You can't go backwards with any VB setup you would have to install VB4 as new.
