Uses
DragonByte SEO is a complete, modern and fully supported Search Engine Optimisation solution for vBulletin 3.8.x and vBulletin 4.x.x, allowing you to easily eliminate duplicate content penalties from search engines and improve the search engine friendliness of your content URLs via multiple powerful tools.
By giving you total control over how the URLs are presented, DragonByte SEO allows you to customise your site's URL structure should you so choose, or leave the settings at their default values for a "set-it-and-forget-it" experience.
Integrated sitemap builders automatically submit multiple content types to various search engines, ensuring any new URL formats are instantly picked up upon.

Major Features (Lite)
PHP 5.4 Support: By creating DragonByte SEO on PHP 5.4, we've been able to ensure compatibility with this PHP version in the event you or your host decides to upgrade in order to continue to receive bugfix and security updates.
Google Analytics Integration: You can easily integrate Google Analytics with your forum by simply entering your account ID, and choose the level of detail you want to track.
Dynamic Meta Tags: Meta Keywords and Descriptions can become content-aware on certain pages like blogs and threads, increasing the relevance of these pages.
External Link Handling: You can choose to add "nofollow" to all external links, preventing search engine spiders from leaving your site. With the ability to fine-tune where this applies, white- and blacklist support as well as optional anonymisation techniques, you are in complete control over your external references.
Powerful URL Rewrites: Almost every URL found in vBulletin can be rewritten via powerful rewrite rules, enabling you to customise your rule set to perfection. The default rewrite URL settings match that of DragonByte-Tech!
Sitemap Generation: Sitemaps can be automatically created for all supported URLs, and automatically submitted to search engines.
Major Features (Pro)
vBSEO Importer: DragonByte SEO is compatible with vBSEO rewrite rules, and can import your rule set from the latest version of vBSEO seamlessly.
Custom URL Rewrites: Take further control over your forum URLs with the ability to write your own URL formats.
Custom Blog Domain: Run your vBulletin Blog from blog.yourdomain.com (or any other domain you wish).
Custom CMS Domain: Run your vBulletin CMS from cms.yourdomain.com (or any other domain you wish).
Custom Rewrite Rules: If you have custom vBulletin-powered pages, you can create rewrite rules for them using this feature.
Custom Sitemap URLs: Your custom pages can also be added to the sitemap, with individual update frequency / priority / last update date settings.
Custom 301 Redirects: You no longer have to edit your server-side rewrite rules in order to create 301 redirects for your content.
Content-Aware SEO Titles: Blogs, CMS Articles and Threads can generate SEO titles based on the content rather than the title, great for forums with a high number of unhelpful titles.
Advanced Logging: Spider and Sitemap hits can be logged, and the logs can be browsed via the DBSEO AdminCP via the same intuitive interface used in vBulletin's own log browsers.

Very nice, thanks a lot for this m8 it works great... :D
One thing i noticed:
Ive built a sitemap but when i view it with this link: /dbseositemap.php a box opens up to download the sitemap file, not view it...
Also when you make the directory for the sitemap data what permissions do i give it & the files inside?

Strange thing... I had to remove the word 'and' from the two forums i had that word in the title of, otherwise was getting 404 error redirect to home page.
This was after trying all the options that involved using the forum name in the URL, if I used forum number there was no issue.
Perhaps a bug?
I was able to sort it by just not using the word 'and' in forum titles, for now.

This has been fixed in v1.0.9, which I opted not to release on vBulletin.org due to other issues that cropped up as a result of that fix.
v1.0.10 will be available tomorrow and will fix this issue along with all other reported bugs in v1.0.9. If you want, you can download v1.0.9 from our site just now, which will enable your forums to work with the stopwords filter turned on globally.
Thank you for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience :(

I left "stopwords" on and didn't mess with its definitions, instead chose to just get rid of the word "and" in the three forum titles it existed in.
I'll wait for the update here.

BUG... FYI I posted this on your support forums, not thinking, and now I can't access your website (http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f239/aspx-links-not-working-correctly-15041/) and I think it may have caused some issues since your website stopped loading! If my fault I apologize!
Something that has come up recently, is that when someone posts a URL link that ends with .aspx it causes the server to timeout and never post the post.
I fixed this by going into the DB CP and adding the site in question to "Link Titles: External URLs - Blacklist"
Not a huge deal, as I can't think of another site that uses aspx pages, but maybe something to look into? I don't know if its on your end, or maybe aspx pages don't support retrieving titles?
Link for example: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2014/04/10/get-to-know-the-new-head-of-xbox.aspx
FYI this is on 1.0.9 need to upgrade to 1.0.11.
Thanks!

For some odd reason i am unable to make the edits you require to the .htaccess file without it making the site kick the "Internal Server Error" page. Even if the rewrite rules you require are the only thing in the file.

You'll need to examine Apache's error_log file which is usually in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log (but varies with each server).
The last person to have that problem found it to be a CLRF character at the start of the file that can be removed via the dos2unix command.

FillipNot sure it is the exact problem, since most every other set of rewrite rules I try, work just fine and my existing .htaccess file never gave me any trouble. If there were a CLRF character involved, it wouldn't matter what is in the .htaccess file.
It is only when I add this set of rules either to the existing file, or stand alone, where the trouble happens.

The unholy grail of webhosts... In that case, you'll need to contact them and ask them how you can see the real error message (if it's accessible to you) or if not, ask them to investigate it for you.

Really want to use this product, however upon installation for a test drive and enabling it, none of links to threads from "read new posts" worked. All the URL's were rewritten. I am using vb 3.8.7 pl4 but have never used VBSEO.
How do I proceed. For now I removed the htaccess change and disabled the product.

I have 3 vb forums - one was 3.6.4 and I recently moved servers and upgraded to 3.8.8 (with a 5.0 license but wanted to keep the v3 look).
I had VBSEO 3.0 installed but wasn't compatible with the new php on the new server but had to upgrade servers. Was at risk of losing 7 years of high ranked keywords in google for http://energeticforum.com
I read that DBSEO was supposed to be able to import the old rewritten urls from VBSEO and I don't think they ever dealt with vbseo because it was so old.
Well, the team at DBSEO (I paid for the install and import) and it worked PERFECTLY! Saved the day and all old urls in google and everywhere else work just fine. DBSEO perfectly imported the old VBSEO urls.
I recommend the software and their team to do the install - they were even willing to modify the code to make it work for my old VBSEO if necessary.
I'll be purchasing another lifetime license for one of my other forums, which is vb4.

A question:
(Pro) Google Webmaster Tools Integration: Historical Data

Option to compare time periods

Do we require GA to be enabled to use the above bold feature for graphical representation to be enabled in GWT..

I have APC and installed. My site is on dedicated server. it has 4 million post and over 100,000 users, peak 5000 online.
I am using litespeed cache, at peak serverload around 1. But as soon as i install this Addon, serverload go over 5. And many times it is timeout and not accessible.
I dont mind paying for pro version. As long as it works and does not effect performance much.

I dont mind paying for pro version. As long as it works and does not effect performance much.First of all, I need to make something absolutely clear: There's no performance difference between Lite and Pro, we would never do that to any of our modifications as we consider it extremely shady business practice.
Secondly, do you have APC enabled in vBulletin's config.php file (/includes/config.php)? If not, DBSEO will not utilise it.
If you do have it enabled, please also make sure display_errors is turned on in php.ini, in case APC is throwing errors preventing DBSEO from utilising it correctly.

Install with Vbulletin 3.8.9Did you remember to apply the .htaccess edits?
Also, make sure you don't have any other .htaccess rules in place (either in your forum or in a higher directory) to avoid any conflicts.

Keep getting the 500 Internal Server Error. You will need to inspect your server error log for the real error behind a 500 ISE.
Is that full free or not ..?!Sorry, I do not understand the question.

is there any schema.org support ? for the forums, sub-forums, threads, posts
can you support tags h1 to h6 for the forums title, sub forums title, threads title, first post as description like 200 words!, in the threads page it will take the first post as description
can you support alt for images in threads ? so when I add new img I can write alt. if the thread is already submit and there is no alt for the img! it will autonomic add the title as alt for the img

Get a better hosting company or upgrade to a better VPS/dedicated server. All traffic must be routed through one file due to how rewrite rules work in this scenario.
