Ideal forum fixed width?

My forum is currently fluid however I am considering changing it to fixed (mainly because the design work I do looks fine on my monitor etc, but probably doesn't display the same to others).

So what is a good pixel width? Can I go slightly wider since a lot of people are on larger screens these days?

Approx 30% of the uses use 1368 x 768 resolution so I guess you can use that as a reference for the width.

PS. I see many websites use 1200px width.
