After upgrading to 4.2.2, the forum is automatically resizing all hot-linked images posted using [.img.]. How do I disable that feature so images are displayed per original pixel size?

Thanks in advance!

Desperately asking for help to get this fixed. I opened up a ticket w/ VBulletin and they are directing me to .ORG to seek help. Priceless!

I still do not know if there is a feature that accidentally got turned ON w/ 4.2.2
or
4.2.2 is automatically resizing [img] links and I need to install a MOD to get around it.

HELP !!!

I had the exact same problem. You can find the solution under Options, Message Attachment Options. Set 'thumbnail creation' to NO and your images will be posted without thumbnails. There are a few other image options under this heading that you might find useful as well.

Thanks for reply but that's not the problem. I'm referring to HOT-LINKS via [IMG] BB code, not attachments. The forum is basically re-sizing HOT-linked photographs and I can't disable it.

Example:
Here is the original photograph ---> http://greenstouch.com/images/gallery_aquaria/12_plants/sep14_2013.jpg

When I post above link and wrap it with [img][/.img] around it, I get the following on the forum ---> http://greenstouch.com/images/gallery_aquaria/12_plants/sep14_2013_sm.png

I can't find a way to disable that auto resize.

That is the option. Give it a try. I had the exact same problem, posted images, whether as attachments or hotlinked, were displaying as clickable thumbnails. When I turned that option to NO, the images displayed full size.

The reason it took me so long to fix the problem is that I didn't think it had anything to do with attachment settings either. I was mistaken.

EDIT: Also important...turn off the last setting on the page... Advanced Insert Image Popup - Enable... to display only the legacy dialog box when inserting an image. If not, vbulletin will download the image and store it locally and treat it like an attachment.

Disregard.

I went to Custom BB Codes and found 'resized image' custom BB Code which was created to resize all hot-linked images to 200 pixels.

Duh!
