Is there an events/Calendar mod?

I am not a fan of the one that vbulletin gives, and I was wondering if there was some type of events or calendar system which will pop up when someone visits the site telling them that there is an event today. thanks

In search above top right, search for: events calendar, 4.x Mods, Title only.
You will find what you are looking for.

so i went through the list and none of those seem to update if the event is recurring. all they do is stay there and tell me that the events eventually end in 2016.
