But I just cant find the right answer.
So right now my only option that I know of Is to replace the "v bulletin" header by going into style manager. selecting Header and putting in a link I created(to the image)
I paid a site to host my page and install the scripts for now because I just wanted my site up.
My problem is the image is Huge!!! takes up so much space and just looks silly.
all I want is to take my image place it where the v bulletin logo is.... for now. the blue background [rectangular) is fine but I would like to change its color...
any help please
If I wanted to create 1 image for now that replaced the logo and the blue header what size should I make it and can that be done

You don't need to edit the template, edit the stylevar titleimage found under the group, ImagePaths. There is where you can change the path and image.
What is the rest that you want, the blue color thing, you mean the entire header color?

To change the color of the blue, edit the stylevar, header_background, found under the group, Header.

You need to do that in a image editor, paint, photoshop ect, I would not do it on the fly, it will not look right.

You are looking in the templates, not the stylevars.
Click on Go, next to Style Variable Editor.

Perhaps change the header_background to white to match what you are working with and have the image on your own server if it isn't...

ok I have it muchbetter... But so what is the proper code in the Header hear if I want to put an image in instead of color? Can you just host a photo ? I tried that way and didn't work
this is the generic code when the header background is blue
url(images/gradients/gradient-grey-down.png)

Background Color #FFFFFF
Background Image = Currently I would leave this blank.
To place logo...
Stylevar --> Imagepaths --> titleimage --> URL

By default it's white and with a white background it would make it hard to see :)
Styles & Templates --> Style Manager --> Style Variable Editor / Go --> Header -->
toplinks_link_color & toplinks_linkhover_color

After saving the color did you refresh the browser screen?
Edit:
Try just... Top Links Link Color
toplinks_link_color
...perhaps change it to
rgb(0, 0, 0)
By the way try these images...download/copy images and Upload to your server :)
Edit #2: Sorry just realized the attached thumbnails will not keep the right size :) PM sent
