Hello guys,

Let me start off by giving a compliment to the website. I'm not that good with all of the stuff you guys are doing, but i managed to help myself in many ways by using this website. So, keep up the good work.

Now, my question: We're using vBulletin 4.2.2. At the moment we have a special subforum where we put all of our closed threads (if a moderator closes one he has to move it to there, if a thread closes because it reaches it's maximum posts it goes there automatically). What i want to see is that if a thread closes (wheter by a moderator or by the max. posts) it automatically gets to the bottom of the page of the subforum where it is stationed. How is this possible?

Just to give you an example, it's like here: http://forum.fok.nl/forum/14

On the bottom you can see all closed (gesloten in Dutch) topics.

Thanks in advance guys, and a happy new year to all!

If you like you can even make some custom prefixes for the archive to reflect which forum the threads originally came from.

You would have to alter the queries on 'showthread.php'. Something like this is usually above the amount of assistance you will receive on a board like this. You might want to post this in the paid/unpaid request forums.

It would be easier just to omit the closed threads from showing in your "showthread" queries or/and creating a separate query just to show the closed threads at the bottom. Of course you are adding queries to the page in the latter method.

Your example board, most likely handles their indexing of threads and posts differently, making it possible for them. Although who knows, maybe they use additional queries to do the same thing. :)

You might also be able to create some kind of additional filter between the queries and outputting to the template system. This however, would increase the load on your server a bit and possibly memory requirements.
