Hello guys,
I've been using vBulletin 5, for the past 2-3 months..
1 word to describe it, absolutely sh!t.
Lost many of members, cannot achieve many stuff that I could with vBulletin 4.
Basically I want vBulletin 4 back.
Is there any script running somewhere?
Even if it's for sale, please contact me.
Message me in the forum, or e-mail me (preferred) diid1@walla.com , or add me via skype (cheatertankionline).

Only way I can think you can downgrade is if you have a backup off vb4 but from what i know it wont work on vb5

Sorry, but that's not an option for me.
I've been with vB 5 for several months, and had more than hundred subscriptions (upgrades) and had thousands of users registered..
Cannot do backup.
I heard people done downgrade.. Just waiting for those people to contact me, or anyone else that has the script (that I heard running here? or on the net).

Its unlikely to happen without the loss of something.

I bet you could use Impex but it would require a ton of work and as Zach said you will lose things, theme, etc.
Why do you want to downgrade after months? Can you be more specific?

I don't mind losing couple of things, as long as I don't lose users data.
The reason why I want to downgrade, is because the script, is really slow.
There's no plugins for it, or themes (couldn't find any).
And forum is slowly dying, since I've upgraded (I was inactive for couple of weeks).
And RichiBoy67, it seems that you understand in it or have done it before?
Is there any tutorials, or instruction to do so?
Any method or tutorial that would help me accomplish it, is good for me.
(I do not have knowledge.. I can make couple of simple scripts, like login, and tracking, but that I've made my application).

ImpEx is not an option as the database for vB5 is totally different than a vB4 database. You would need a custom script to be able to downgrade.

Yes I requested that in the first post.
Perhaps you have it? if you do how much would it cost?.

What if you import the vb5 into some third party forum software, and then import THAT into vb4?

That's how a lot were doing it, works just fine
There's also a few places on the net who will do it for you.
I guess the OP hasn't heard of google...

- sorry for double post.
Guys, I couldn't find converters from vBulletin 5 to other forum script (paid and non-paid).
Can anyone post a URL to any of the converters?
Thanks,

I believe Invision Power Board have a vB5 converter.
http://invisionpower.com. You may want to post in pre-sales to ask about the version you are running.

Yes it does, it's great.
Gonna use it.
But sad part that it cannot convert Personal Messages.
So anyone here, can do it (manually or write any script or something..), I'll pay (message me please).

We have successfully performed a vB5 to vB4 downgrade three times so far. It takes about a week to do, but our site, as well as 2 other client sites are satisfied with the job. You can learn more at vBSocial.com (http://vbsocial.com)

I have contacted my hosting company and they restored the backup from their end.

Bumping a four and one-half year old thread serves no purpose. Impex does not now, nor has it ever had anything to do with vBulletin 5.
