Recent Blog Posts (no image displayed)

After posting a blog with images, I notice that in the side bar widget, the pictures do not show..

Thanks to tbworld for pointing me in the direction for the same problem in recent articles I was able to cure it with this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=266850

Is it just a matter of switching some code around to get the pics to display in the 'recent blog posts' widget?
