The New Nihonomaru Redesign :3

Few days back, i've shared on my site the new homepage redesign and now it is live =)

I don't have the older look so you can compare and contrast but it was based on my forum style http://forum.nihonomaru.com like exactly the same, black background color, the header looked like that etc.

I've been playing around with photoshop, spending hours with different ideas and i like the outcome so far, so i thought i would share some of the screencap :)

Nihonomaru is the 1st Anime website cattered toward social network by connecting anime and manga fans and that is pretty much my goal from the start. It is not twitter, it is not FB, it is Nihonomaru. I mean who ever thought of this before, Nihonomaru. We love the work we do, so we never stop producing new ideas. This is the new result (: The one thing i love is our profile system, kinda stepping away from the vb/forum profile system. It is nice to have your own custom settings for your site. This is a 2 year project and still ongoing.

The homepage nop, the forum yes (: It is custom coding based on a framework.

On the homepage ? There is no ads on the homepage, the forum has 1 pop up every 2 hour per user though (:

Not a popup, but a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). Might want to have your host run a virus scan and check yourself for files that shouldn't be on your server, unless cool_links(dot)com is something you intentionally have displaying something.

I just checked out the site again. The first time I clicked on something I had a full page pop up to a gaming site.

Other than that I think the style is really nice.
