Hey guys i need a little help,
Recently we started having issues when a member(any member) tries to give some Rep. when a member tries to give Rep he gets this message:
<p>Database Error</p>

It does show in BOP5's Reputation Board as given but does not actually add any Rep to the member.

It doesnt seem to limit itself to any certain usergroup, i have been disabling any Mods that may have been installed in the last month or so but nothing has fixed this issue.

I am basically curious if anyone has had this issue and how you fixed it.

Thanx

Try disabling all the mods via config, then try the rep.

Open your config.php and below<?php add this line:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);So it looks like this:
<?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
/*================================================= =====================*\
|| ################################################## ################## ||
|| # vBulletin 4.2.2

Yep I just repped a post on your site, and I see the error you're describing is coming up in the dialog box after giving rep. This is during the time where the js script is in play, if that helps any.

Made any new modifications or script edits lately?

script edits.......No, Some Mod updates thoThe recent Mod updates might be what started these issues, just off the top of my head.

I noticed also when giving thanks to a post, a dialog box appeared telling me I needed to read all private messages first... And the box contained HTML markup. Which I am pretty sure isn't intended. I will do it again and grab a screenshot if you want.

I would disable the hooks, and do a quick test, seems much quicker than going through them all one at a time.

I will disable that feature and then you can try it again.

I will disable that feature and then you can try it again.I just thanked a post while I had no PMs and it just thanked it with no dialog, like normal. Need a PM to duplicate the circumstances.

I just turned off the "Force read pm's" option.

pm sent.I "agreed" with another post while i had not read the PM, and of course the dialog box didn't appear. Can't duplicate the earlier results with the option disabled.

That other floating box, the PM notification one, is annoying though.:)

lol sorry about that but it stays, we have problems with staff members not answering pm's lol

Its funny you say that as it used to worse, i had 3 mini Tom Landry's floating around your screen until you read the pm lol

Do you still want to duplicate the result i got on the "agree" bit? I know it's a separate issue but it might also be related to whatever Mod update you did - especially if that update involved a automatic edit of the clientscript js.

If so, i will refrain from reading that PM until you turn that option back on, the one requiring the reading of all PMs.

It's turned back on but i disabled the not allowing to Mark as Read feature.

Ok here ya go:

This too is happening during the time the js is active... Thus the shaded background. It shares in common with your original reported issue, the HTML code is showing.

I think that issue might be on your end because i sent my test acct.a pm and here's what it showed:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2013/11/23.pngI get that same dialog box too but only when not in postbit.

In postbit, it's what I posted. You have to have a PM waiting, then be in postbit at the time, (viewing a thread) then try to "agree" to a post, to get what I got. I have been repeating this by marking your PM you sent me unread, then read, and so on.

Coincidentally, your rep issue happens in postbit as well and they both show raw HTML code in the dialog box.:)

Anyway lol

I have added 2 new Mods recently but i was having this issue before that, here are the Mods:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=270070 & https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=271797

and i updated the DBTech Copyright Management Mod.

But like i said i had this issue before i did those 3 things.

There's no doubt it's not on my end. The dialog box you posted isn't the one that comes up in postbit.

And in postbit, is where you have your rep problem too.

IMO you should disable hooks as Ozzy suggested, then see if these issues go away with hooks disabled. This will tell you whether it's a Mod, or something else causing the issues. You can re-enable hooks after testing.

I will have to talk to the owner about it because after our forum was hacked by Saints fans in 2009(We lost everything) he wont allow script mods of any kind, i will report back if i find something.

It's in your AdminCP settings, Options>Plugin/Hook System and there's a checkbox there.

I haven't logged in Ba'al, seems like your in good hands with 'Maxy' (Sorry @max had to give you a nickname.)

I did notice that there was some javascript errors on your inital page. If you would like, I will take a look at them. Of course, I am not a cowboy's fan -- so I have mixed emotions. :) Have always been a Vikings, Broncos fan. I played against Elway in high school and used to work in Boulder Colorado.

For?

For?No one can study the issues or analyze the scripts without being logged in - since reputation, thanks, edits, quotes and other functions aren't visible to visitors.

Someone else might come along to assist you.

If you have narrowed the problems to a specific modification (which it appears to be) you should make your query in the thread where you downloaded that specific modification and see if the developer can assist.
