Cannot import style xml file for vbb 4.2.2

Hello, I'm a newbie. I have just installed a vbb 4.2.2 forum and I am finding a style for it. I downloaded many vbb style for 4.2.x or 4.x.x. However, I cannot import any styles because it said that:

This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.

Your version: 4.2.2
File version: 4.2.0

What can I do to change my forum skin?

When importing a new style you can tell it to ignore the style version, as long as you understand that there will/might be template/CSS differences with your current version of software.

v4.2.1 styles should be very similar with v4.2.2 styles. Many styles will work, with just a few fixes. The more they differ from the default vbulletin style, probably the more incompatible they will be. If this is all 'greek' to you, I highly suggest you Google the web and find a vbulletin theme/style programer that you like and updates regularly. In most cases they are pretty cheap for pre-canned work. I believe there is also a list here on vbulletin.org.

This will all get easier the more you work with vbulletin. Have fun :)

There are quite a few free styles if you select the "Styles" tab on the top left hand side of the vbulletin.org screen. Just remember that most of them are not professional styles, so carefully read through the thread of each style.
