Hello;
How do I create custom sub-navigation menu links for my Articles Navigation Tab in vBulletin 4.2? I have custom pages that I want linked.
I can do this in the Navigation Manager for other Tabs (Blogs / Forum, etc.), but I can't seem to find a way to do this for my Articles Tab.
This is the message I get when I try to edit through the Navigation Manager:
You cannot add navigation elements to the CMS using the Navigation Manager, it has its own system for displaying links.
What, exactly does "it's own system" mean, and where to I go about implementing it?
Thanks!

The Article tab works differently than all other tabs in vBulletin. You cannot assign arbitrary links to the sub-menu.
In the CMS use the pencil icon to edit a section.
There is a block at the bottom of the page called: Sections to Display in Navbar Sub-Menu
Here you can show which CMS pages you can show in the sub-links.
There is also a checkbox in the block that allows you to select what CMS links you want for a designated "sub-link."
Once you fool around with it a bit and create your own pages you will get a feel for it. It is a bit difficult to comprehend at first.
I hope this at least gets you started. :)

Thank you very much for your response.
The trouble is, I don't want to select CMS pages for my subnavigation menu links, what I want to display are my own custom .php pages, as well as to the payments.php page.
Is there a way to create such links?

I have to run.. but you can create a new dummy tab with the navigational manager and then add the links you want from the CMS. It will then act as a normal tab where you can add your own custom links, pages, etc. You can then remove the CMS default tab.
I will write something up later when I return home.

Okay, this works perfectly, except my Navigation Tab no longer shows up as "Articles" but "Forums."
How can I go into the root content.php page and make the default tab for this say, "Articles" (or srcArticles)?

Did you ever get this resolved? I am wanting to do the exact same thing, but am having the same issues.
I, too, created the new tab and navigation items, but when I go to my root URL, the sub-menu links disappear. :( I wouldn't mind so much, but they are kind of important. :)

No, I still have not figured out a way to use vBulletin CMS and not have the "Forums" tab obtain.
When I get the Articles Tab up, I cannot customize my subnavigation links to be what I want, only what the vBulletin codec wants.

We sort of went around this by using the Navigation Manager to create tabs with sub-menus, linking to the specific articles or sections we wanted. We still can't hide the Articles tab without the Forums tab highlighting, but that's as good as we could get. :(
