Facebook connection process is pretty well documented in the admincp:

See:
admincp --> options --> settings --> Facebook Options

Since you are using version v4.2.1, you need to add the following update:

Download the facebook SDK from https://github.com/facebook/facebook-php-sdk
Upload the three files from \src to your \includes\facebook directory.

Hope this helps :)

Is your board private or public? Sorry, I did not see a link to answer it myself.
If your board is private you will need to patch vbulletin code to make it work.

Sorry, I do not understand? Do you mean that you do not see the Facebook log-in icon?

That cannot be done with Facebook Connect. vBulletin's 'Facebook Connect' will post to Facebook, but not the other way around. Only user information is gathered from Facebook if that option is used.

Oei that's to bad! Maybe for a developer to make it with there picture they can do avatar in vbulletin.

Maybe you can help me with this? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=304209

You can also use Facebook's API, and post Facebook comments in an iframe. I am not sure if anyone has worked this up as a mod, but I will try to search for one.

You might want to take a look at 3rd party products from 'vbsocial' posted here on the board.
