Hey guys,
I've decided to give vBulletin 5, a shot.
The reason I did, it because it has SEO, and has page creation (I'm no good with SEO nor web developing).
Anyway, 2 days ago I've installed, everything went smooth.
But then I tested registration and posting messages.
One of the problems was (with registration and many other functions).
[21-Oct-2013 19:20:41 Europe/Berlin] PHP Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in /home/flashack/public_html/core/vb/string.php on line 750
I really do not know how to fix this.
The problem I faced with posting messages was,
Text input required
Or something like that, although there was input.
So I reverted to vb4.2.2 (I had before 4.2.1).
And now the forum is completely broken.
Yesterday we've changed the settings and tried to install again vbulletin.
Still no avail
I'm using PHP version 5.5.3 and MySQL version 5.5.32-cll.
I was disgust with their support.
I am sorry but you are not eligible for ticket support at this time with your license. However you can get support on the vBulletin.com forums here:
http://www.vbulletin.com/forum
While you're without ticket support, we'll do our best to provide support via the forums. In a case where we have exhausted our support options via the forum we can escalate your issue back into a ticket when required.
Make sure you have registered and activated your account, and that your email address is entered on the priority support form here:
http://members.vbulletin.com/membersupport_priority.php
Most licenses come with 30 days of standard ticket support.
To receive ticket support beyond the 30 day window you will need to purchase a support plan.
To order support, please go here:
http://www.vbulletin.com/
Click on the 'Login' link at the top, log into your account, then press 'Purchase' and then under vBulletin Add-Ons, click on 'Shop Now'. You will then be taken to another page where you should select the domain/license you wish to purchase support for from the dropdown.
Then under Support, select with the 'One Month Phone and Ticket Support' for $49/month, or the 'Annual Phone and Ticket Support' for $199/year plan.
Make your choice then click the 'Go to Cart' and complete your purchase.
Finally, please understand that priority support does not mean we will always be able to address issues. Priority support does not cover any support that would not have been provided via the forums or ticket system normally. It does not cover customization or modification support for third party addons or software.
I'm not gonna waste not a single penny on this greedy website.
I mean, I asked what's wrong exactly, and if they've tested it with vBulletin 5.5.3 (in the installation manual it says that php 5.4+ required).
It's waste to spend 50$/200$ 2 questions, and both of them will benefit their product more.
Anyway back to topic.
Is there anyone who could help me out?
