On one of the forums i admin we have over 50K users, and we avarage about 1500 onliners 24/7. On this forum there are constant disputes, and we need an efficient warning system.

The built-in one is not for us. We have tested different ways to work with it, but we have now abandoned it completely.

The problem i want to solve is to be able to give a user a punch right away, and i have seen this on another forum, but they will not release the code, unfortunately.

Here is how it works

When giving someone an infraction, a PM is send to the user, with a reference to the violated regulation of the board.

In this PM thereĀ“s a link that the user has to click to confirm that the warning have been recived.

Untill clicked, the user will have restrictions, such as beeing unable to post, view parts of the forum etc.

Having this would make our job so much easier. I have been looking all around for this kind of tool, but so far i ended up empty handed.

Help needed!

Why not make a new group with the settings you want and when they get x amount of infractions then they are auto moved to the group

From what I see, he just wants the user restricted until they click a link in the PM, kinda like when you get a email to confirm your email addy.

This is how the built in system works, and as i said, we have tried it, and its not for us. I don?t like members accumulating points that all of a sudden, and for no obvious reason, sends them to coventry. its tricky to control, and on a big board, it?s not possible to keep track of that, theres just to much going on.

I want the crew to be able to give a direct warning, that the user can confirm immediately, and thats that.

Yes, this is it, exactly like that. Preferably with some kind of logg feature, but that is not neccesary.
