Fantastic forum.

May I ask where or who did your menu system?

Fantastic forum.

May I ask where or who did your menu system?

I made that menu, you need to integrate multi level menu css with Vbulletin template to make a menu like that.

You can make the menu with this script,

http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/jkmegamenu.shtml

Only drawback is any mods you use, that have navigation elements, will have to be manually added to the code. You would also need to wrap conditionals around the items, for which groups you would want to see them.

It's exact, as Ozzy mentioned, you need to have a css multi level menu to integrate with your navigation template in vbulletin style.

Yes, I did. I made it from vbulletin default theme. Thanks for reviewing.

One thing about this style is unless you have the members/content to fill in the blocks it wouldn't look as nice. In this case this site has plenty of both.

Again, love it.

I'm using 4.x.x and did it by myself. I don't want to have problem about copyright on theme thus I designed it from vB theme default, make it simple, easy to navigate for users and unique with other forums.

Anyone has other reviews?

Site looks very clean inspite of so many ads, but these are the areas i would work if i had owned this site.

1) A better forum icons/would have them removed, it looks too clustered out there.
2) Little more tweak on the forum row table, i mean by adjusting some colors and i would prefer the same font except for the titles.

Overall good job buddy.

You can own this site by joining our forum staff. I am looking for Moderators for it :)

BTW, which/where colors do you want to adjust?
forum icons should use old/new icon as vbulletin default style?

Thanks for your offer, i am too lazy and won't be able to fulfill my duties.

I would prefer your custom old/new forum icons to maintain the simplicity and uniqueness of your forum.

I mean on the forum row table, the title font is taking too much of space and you can reduce them and tune them up a bit to something like this.

I expanded forum width so that I think title forum font is not too big compare to site overall, please check if it's ok with you

Can I know why username color on your screenshot is black?
You change on your Graphic software or it's showed on your browsers
because it's dark blue on my forum :)

I'm a big fan of the navigation drop downs, although I would modify the header a bit more to make it cleaner. Also, when you scroll and the navigation sticks, that should extend 100%. I like the unique forum icons, that's always the way to go, makes it more user friendly.

I see that you have the space up top to sort latest threads based on category. You seem to have a lot of decent content. With this much content, why don't you have a homepage that showcases all of it in a better way as oppose to limiting yourself to tabs in a 3 inch area on your forum page itself?

Examples:
http://chefclub.net/
http://www.digitalweddingforum.com/
http://www.pearl-guide.com/

Thanks Gio~Logist for your great feedbacks!

Also, when you scroll and the navigation sticks, that should extend 100%

It's easier for me if I do according to this way, extend 100% by browser width, but I tried and realized that fit to forum width looks better and I have more changes on CSS to do that.

With this much content, why don't you have a homepage that showcases all of it in a better way as oppose to limiting yourself to tabs in a 3 inch area on your forum page itself

You mean I should have a homepage to cover all information into a place instead of using "Webmaster Sun Forum Statistics" under forum header, right?

I made my forum theme responsive theme now.

Honestly, I didn't use mobile style which made from vBulletin, responsive is better than a mobile style if compare to get better rankings on search engine and user experience. :)

Your new responsive style upgrade looks really good, I looked at it in Internet Explorer on windows phone 8. The header could be smaller with a smaller logo, and the navbar items would serve better in a hidden list that appears regardless of where you are in the page and slides away when not needed. I also noticed the ads usually visible in the side blocks are gone, is this intentional? There were some quirks in the message center, mainly button alignment and blocks side by side rather than one under another. Looks like you are on your way to a fully functional mobile style that works as today's readers would expect. Good job.

I'm curious why I could not press "Thank" button on your reply, it is showing error.

Yeah you are right, sidebar block is not nessarry to show on mboile screens, it needs space for main content thus I hid it.

This is what I was talking about. The editor is squeezed over to the right, smilie box is needing some attention, and the list items in the left block, should be in a dropdown menu or at least tidied up. Nokia phone resolution 320x533

Hi Replicant, thanks for noticing this.

It is already in responsive for that area, now you can check private messages in your inbox or writing a new message...on your mobile phones without any problems :)

That is always true because responsive design keeps all the functions while mobile style can remove these functions to save the space when viewing on it.

I don't know why you have the rule in place about having to upload an avatar or your profile is removed, that is so annoying and I imagine would only limit use. I joined just before you had a outage for about a day, and I noticed when I came back you had a lot less members.

Also the postage count of 24 is kind of annoying, I just want to advertise my logos and domains for sale, I don't want to waste time making idle chit chat.

I never understand why established forums don't get most users just want a easy experience. I wonder how many users these policies have alienated.

Ugh how rude are you webmastersun!

I did everything you wanted, got my profile picture set up, tried my best to engage in chit chat with the end goal of advertising my domain for sale. What's the deal- why ban my IP? Cause you can't handle a bit of constructive criticism on here?!

Good riddance.

So sad to hear that but may be you posted spams and didn't follow our forum rules thus our Mods banned you.

Are you sure you have read forum rules before posting?

It has more reasons for this but I can say it's helping forums, other members and yourself when you use your avatar, it looks more friendly

Also the postage count of 24 is kind of annoying, I just want to advertise my logos and domains for sale, I don't want to waste time making idle chit chat.

In the past, I got tons of spam posts or classified ads when allow new members to post to offers sections without first contributions. Require any posts first help improve forums and also build your reputations for a new member.

They dropped tons of links and leave the forum without any conversations. We are building a quality forum thus we need to manage both discussions and ads as well.

I never understand why established forums don't get most users just want a easy experience. I wonder how many users these policies have alienated.

Not sure what you are saying.

Also, please note, here's a review thread for Webmaster Sun (http://www.webmastersun.com), not for reviewing about our forum rules or something else. If you need my support on our forum, don't hesitate to PM me, I am ready to support you if you feel difficult in using the forum :)

It's cluttered and too busy on the home page. The colors selected for your forum are too loud. It's hard on the eyes.

You have manipulated this thread to stay at the top of the review forum. It's turned in to one shameless plug for your website.

I didn't do anything to manipulate this thread, see previous reviews before, you can understand.

If you think for one second, child, that I'm going to rewrite my post to make it more ass kissing to you, you are nuts. All you want is people telling you how great and wonderful you and your forum is. This is not reality. The real world is full of those that don't think like you do.

Reality check.

For someone want to see it as simple or less colors then may need to come back the past 2 or 3 years ago...I made it as KISS (Keep It Simple....) I don't want to show ended word :D

Version of 2012, simple and less colors

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2016/01/4.jpg (http://www.webmastersun.com)

Version of 2013-2014, better but still less colors/images

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2016/01/5.jpg (http://www.webmastersun.com)

and version 2015-2016

as current one http://www.webmastersun.com :o

More images and colors but its still helping in increasing traffic and serving other purposes.

Of course images and layouts can be optimized/changed soon when it needs changes to suit to users'/design's trends

I have to re-read your review again and obviously these reviews came from a child who trying to attack me than give real feedback for our forum.

If you think for one second

I thought years but still could not find out a better one than it. Our forum is still growing with members and posts daily. If it is not good enough then it can not exist until now.

Let's think about you, even you can not make a forum (yours) online, just checked your forum on your signature, your hosting provider is suspending it, maybe your forum was so perfect so that they must suspended it.?.?.?

All you want is people telling you how great and wonderful you and your forum is. This is not reality. The real world is full of those that don't think like you do.

:D It is just what you are thinking and trying to force other people think according to your way.

I am ready to receive all reviews, including bad and good reviews, but your reviews are just containing selfish thoughts and attacking other people than reviewing their site.

I don't think a member like you can exist on vB community. If this is on my forum, a member is attacking other people, they can be banned or disable account.

The real world is full of those that don't think like you do.

I am living in a real world and doing business online thus I know how is a real world and how is an online world. You don't need to teach me that

Maybe you blame @setishock for his review, but as you can see, 5 users already liked his post, while nobody liked your reply for almost 10 days now.

What it means? That most users agree with him. Me too. Not that I don't like your site. I already gave you a positive feedback (NickTheGreek), but I do agree with @setishock in 2 important points:

It's cluttered and too busy on the home page. The colors selected for your forum are too loud. It's hard on the eyes. .....I'll add "VERY hard on the eyes". I'm 60yo and really I can't read it. Not all your members are teens. Don't forget it. With so many colors, I'm loosing focus. If your don't want to remove some things from there at least increase the vertical and horizontal space beetween blocks. In person, maybe you'll not like what I'll say, I like more the 2012 edition.
You have manipulated this thread to stay at the top of the review forum. It's turned in to one shameless plug for your website....... That's 100% true. I've seen you many times to post "nothing" (I mean text without real meaning) just to bring your thread again at the top. Don't think that users here are having so low intelligent and they don't understand. Just they keep their mouth closed.

I also agree that the layout needs an overhaul for today's standards. This may have been the look 5 years ago but today people want a simple layout so they can get to the content they want as fast as possible.

What you do is up to you but you have a few options.

Looking at your site from mobile actually looks better but the endless scroll is annoying. I know it's not endless, it's just the page is long. I would find a way to highlight your most active threads or sections, maybe automatically update them once a day and only show that on your home page. Maybe 3 sections like that but I wouldn't go 30 like you have now.

Back to the desktop, try to mimic what you have on your mobile skin and please kill that top menu that covers have the screen if you just slightly mouse over it, or make it a click action at the very least. I have an ad blocker so I have no idea if you have those all over the place as well, but from what I see on your home page, it is indeed very busy and hard on the eyes.

Good luck, I've seen your forum for years and I may have registered once but I don't remember..lol

Why I need to blame for @setishock for his review, which I didn't like on his review is, he was not a polite person when used bad words on his reply, and like wanting to attacking another member on this forum.

Each person has different views, and I am not sure that most users agree with him (as you said above), I received more good reviews about my forum theme but I even like reading suggestions to make it better than reading good feedback about it. That will help me to improve it better.

But because I have new questions in new replies below so I have to answer. My this thread has got too many replies and views so it is not necessary to bump this thread to top to get more views.

which style you are using

I created that style for my forum and it is using vBulletin 4 platform.

I also created a same style on https://forumweb.hosting/ and it is using Xenforo 2, I am checking both vBulletin 4 and Xenforo 2 to see which is better for forums. Anyway, WebmasterSun is getting good results when running vB4 and I think I still use this platform in the future.

I also agree that the layout needs an overhaul for today's standards.
This may have been the look 5 years ago

I can not agree with you that its look for 5 years ago. Even I am thinking it is trending now and I am still getting good results when using that forum style.

Honestly I created the theme based on ideas from popular websites or website templates thus it still is being used at this time and in next years.

but today people want a simple layout so they can get to the content they want as fast as possible.

You are right, it is not a simple forum theme, but if a person is familiar to it, they will be very easy to find content or latest threads of forums on the forum.

Maybe you will like this smartphone forum (https://smartphones.best/), it is pretty simple layout and everything can find on the homepage because it is similar to social network layout too. I built it 2 months ago and the forum is still growing with members and posts daily, that's a good theme to build new forums that suitable for any niches.

Yes it is pretty long when viewing on mobile devices but it is very clear and easy to find topics or forums when viewing forums on mobile. Anyway, it can be done like you suggested, only show 3 sections and remove other sections on mobile then its homepage will become shorter.

You are right on this, I used a mega menu and added forums and descriptions on it, and it is a bit annoy when hovering mouse on it by a mistake. To improve this, I can need to remove forum descriptions and can be done soon.

Good luck, I've seen your forum for years and I may have registered once but I don't remember..lol

Yes I saw your name on my forum but not sure it was you :D If you have free time, don't forget to check out our forum and helping members there since I see your signature then you are related to marketing which our forum members are caring about it.

Thank you for your reviews!

What made you leave vBulletin and switch to XenFofo? What vB5 not good enough?
