Quick reply editor not working with Firefox

Currently I realized when i upgraded few days ago to vb 4.2.1 that if i click on "Edit" on my profile or on a forum post or a thread, i don't see the quick reply editor, i get instead redirected right away to the advance full editor page.

On Chrome this issue doesn't happen, only on firefox. It is also been reported by many of our members. I use the latest FF btw version 24.0

Is there a fix for this?

I will check my test v4.2.1 board and see if I can mimic that result.

I also did everything and have an open support ticket but they don't know the answer.

I did disable my plugin hook and tested it again, nothing. I also don't have a firefox addon, so i don't have nothing to disable.

It is been reported by our users and i notice it too yesterday, it is actually very bothersome when i can't see a quick edit and get redirected to a full page :(

I think it is related to the new Firefox version 24.0 because before i can see the quick edit and i also see it on Chrome, no issue. Only i can't with Firefox version 24.0 which is the latest.

Are you using Firefox 24.0 with vb 4.2.1 ?

I'm using 24. with 2.4.1 patch and its working fine. Same with 2.4.1 suite before the patch.

What should i do to get it fixed? Any solution? i think it is a code issue in the html but i don't know what it is

I use the default vb skin and also disabled plugin and still the same issue. It doesn't work with Firefox. I also don't have any firefox addon and it is been reported by our members as well.

Are you sure you have removed all custom plugins from Firefox and extensions also in appearance make sure it is set to default and remove any others in there.

Note: Make sure remove these don't just disable

I have no idea how but the issue is fixed on its own :s i didn't touch anything.

that plugin is for 3.8 if u are running vb4 then yes it will cause problems

Hi, yap i know, i had to restore it because all the threads and content that had tables embed around them were gone, so i needed to upload it to make the content appear and ask ou members to remove the table code and save.

I was going to uninstall it a day later but i didn't knew if it causes this issue or not but it seems it was this mod. But i am sure i uninstalled the table bbcode and still had the editor issue, not sure what changed this time. But now the editor is working properly, so that is good (:
