I tried doing this: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-4/vbulletin-4-questions-problems-and-troubleshooting/vbulletin-4-quick-tips-and-customizations/385583-how-to-colorize-the-user-names-depending-on-user-group
and cleared the cache, but I don't see the registered users showing up as green for their names on the index? It does show green when you click on their username and go to their View Profile... I woudl like the color to be global...

It won't show on the index page as the html markup is not supported there.
This mod will do what you wish. It is used by many.
Remember to use single quotes (') in the html markup. Double quotes (") will cause issues.

One question. I noticed that it was either this mod or this mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228607
That now it says on the index if the person is offline or not or in hidden mode. How do you get rid of that???

I just deleted this part: {vb:raw memberinfo['onlinestatusphrase']},
Is that going to cause an issue for other functions or is this ONLY specific for the online status next to the index posts???

I doubt it will cause issues anywhere, as that is just removed in the member action dropdown menu.

I use this one click my sig to see it. Is this what you are looking for.
In usergroup Username HTML Markup in first box put <span style="color:yellow;font-weight:bold;text-shadow: 1px 1px 10px yellow;">
and in 2nd box put </span>
This goes well with the above mode

The dropdown box still should be there, all you did was remove the online status part.

This is what the code looks like in memberaction:
{vb:raw memberinfo}}" title="{vb:rawphrase {vb:raw memberinfo.username}}"><strong>

Is that where you hover over a users name and the box drops down? I'm confused. Because if so its not working for me...
OOPs my mistake you actually have to click on it. Ok, seems to work thanks.

Why does the HTML markup not work for Welcome to our newest member in stats??? How would you get it to work? It seems to default to the color of the template... thx

Ozzy, anyway to keep the user consistant across all platforms? I have noticed that CMS articles in my forum index (side boxes) do not show the proper user color. Also, in CMS, recent articles and recent forum post side boxes also do not show the proper user color. Thoughts? Thanks.
