I need a new banner logo for my site. It needs to be 950 x 153. I have an idea of what I would like, however I have no way to pull it all together.

1. I would like to use a transparent symbol or something similar to this on one end or possibly on both ends.https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2013/10/1.jpg?3

2. Background for the logo in this color. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2013/10/1.png?2

3. Site name Cafe Flirt ....in bold, Italic book antique. Either in white or black. Whichever you feel looks best I will take your judgement call on that.

I will take a shot at this if it is still open. I might deviate a tiny bit from the image and font as they aren't what we'd use on a high quality image. Will PM you when done.

You asked for feedback - so I hope you don't mind the feedback I have for you:

A logo is supposed to represent your brand (Cafe Flirt) while leaving a positive, lasting impression on the mind of your website user. In my opinion, your current design does neither. I think your current design is amateurish at best and not a worthy representation of the type of logo a $200+ premium software deserves.

I think you'd be better off commissioning a new design, whether free or paid. If you have a budget (small or large) - let me know via PM (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/private.php?do=newpm&u=293712). I'll be happy to create something nice for your forum.

Whatever route you decide to go in, good luck with it ;)

J.

I'd just like to note the one I produced is not the one on the forum, as I had not used the images requested (as I couldn't produce a quality image with them - no problems though, the owner can use what ever they like and should because a forum really is a representation of a part of them ). Just to avoid any confusion for anyone viewing.

Edit: This was the 5 minute free logo I produced visible here: http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b510/IKDdesign/cafeflirtlogo_zps678762da.png
Not a style I'm a fan of so I would never charge for something like this. They only take a few minutes anyway.

:)

As for feedback, the images are really holding back the designs. Anything on a forum should be as high res as possible (usually around 300DPI) and in PNG format if possible. Especially with new monitors and the amazing resolution many come with, any flaws are highlighted. Even I have trouble keeping up with the quality demanded by screens produced by the likes of Apple or samsung.

Yes, MB. That's megabytes - one million bytes.

By contrast, typical vBulletin out of the box pageload is less than 600 KB. That's kilobytes.

Wow, yeah, I think it's a matter of finding a balance between functionality and how 'pretty' something is.

But it winds up being the difference between the fat, frumpy, slow and sweaty, over made up and garish LuLu Roman, and the svelte, classy, speedy, Daisy Duke.
