Resizing Team Logo area

I am using the Default Style and find that the area containing the team logo is not wide enough. I managed to change the icon to suit my team but it is too cluttered.

Is it possible to increase the width of the area containing the top Logo and if so how?

Not exactly sure what you mean by "area containing the team logo", perhaps a screenshot, with a arrow pointing to the area, and a link to the site, that way someone will be able to help you out better.
