Hi,
m looking for a good forum software. I have created many forums using free forum softwares like mybb, phpbb. But now m looking for a paid forum software. So i came to vbulletin.
Tried demo forum. Not helped me to what i want.
Basically i want to create a forum gallery ( Pictures + Videos). I love to try and install so many mods. So i came to mods site searching what extensions/mods can help me to setup achieve what i want. Clicked on thumbnails got message " you do not have permission to access this". So thought i have to register to view images (Good ). So i registered to the forum, confirmed the mail ( waited so long to get verification mail ). Finally, thought i can see the images. But got same message " you do not have permission to access this".
So my question is before going to buy vbulletin, can you show me something what you have. Mod description text does not help to understood much. Images helps to feel what it can offer.
I know you have done it to protect from piracy. But you should do it for only downloading mod. Why for the viewing images. ?
How can i buy vb if i cant see its full features ?
VBulletin

This site is for licensed members, you'll only get to see the code or pics when you have a license attached to your email address. This site will have most, if not all of the mods you are looking for free. There are some addons/mods that do cost but that's up to you.
If I was you I would look at using vB4 as your main forum, which will give you a license for vB5 also......Good Luck

Unfortunately these is no way to allow the downloading of attached images without allowing the downloading of all attachments, and that isn't going to happen except for license holders.
Have you tried a demo of the VB4 Forum?

I dont want to download attachment. I just want to view attached images of mods. So i can get the idea hows the gallery mod will look alike.
I have tried vbulletin demo but its just comes with default installation. As i said i love to try different mods and their features.
On IPB, xenforo i can see mods images, so i know that i can do with those software's. Now
just vbulletin remained. I just want to see what vb can offer.
I just want to see images of mods, themes nothing else.

Keep in mind, the modifications here are all third-party. They're not developed by vBulletin. They're made by other forum owners and developers from around the world. The modifications are here, on this website, separate from vBulletin.com, because vBulletin doesn't officially endorse or support them. So what you're seeing here are not really "features of vBulletin." They're extensions created by the forum community at large. Which is why sometimes, you're just not going to be able to see certain images if the developer used the attachment feature to post images.
With that said, quite often some people have demos running on their boards, which you can find in the developer's first post, or even some posted by users in the modification thread. You can also ask the developer if he'll send you a demo link or pictures if you need to, provided he's still supporting his product.

When someone attaches any file to vBulletin, its an attachment. Image, or zip, etc. The way the site is setup is that all attachments can't be downloaded unless you have a license.
If you want to know the official features and default feature set of vBulletin, vBulletin.com is a better place to ask.
