Advice on logo?

Well redoing my site template. Comments on a couple of logos I am kicking around. Thoughts on which one, or suggestion for something else? Thanks!

Top one definitely looks fancier. It depends on the style of the site. If you intend on have just the logo with that style, 1st is definitely the option. If its going to be a style used round the site, e.g in the Table Headers, the 2nd would be the better option.

Ok if u go to the site you will see the site name in the right header - has a cracked concrete look. I am building the site with a partner and he thinks that the main logo on the left header (the one in flames) would look better if it was made of the same "material" and color as the site text in the right header. Thoughts on that. Is it normally a good idea to have all text and art flow together? Maybe I'm missing something. Comments appreciated. Thx!

Only you are the other guy really know what you like for the site as everyone has there own tastes.

either one is fine, but remember to compress it to reduce its size before using it... avoiding slow page load advise.

Try to keep the layout fluent. E.G If you're using one texture for the logo, use it for other parts too so it's not singled out - unless it NEEDS to be singled out i.e if it's important.
