I installed this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2444542#post2444542) hack and it has caused some kind of harm to our forum editor. When we installed it no editor at all displayed. So we deleted it and now - still no editor is displayed

See screenshot. I looked and all of the code is still in the templates but for some reason nothing is showing up (or it's being covered up by a white space). I say it looks like it's being covered up because when the page first loads you see everything like it's supposed to look for around a second, but then it turns white (like it's being covered up).

My therory is that the area where you type in has moved up for some reason, covering up the buttons.

Where would I resize this area? :confused: I looked in the editor templates but saw nothing to resize anything.

TBH I do not see how that is possible, there is nothing in the XML that should cause that, as it only uses the plugin system.

See if it is from a mod.

Open your config.php and below<?php add this line:

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

So it looks like this:
<?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

I turned the Plugin/Hook System system off in the ACP. Made no difference. I also checked the default vB skin and it also shows the same issue.

UPDATE:

I think I'm on the right track with the text area being moved up. If you look at the screen shot you can see that the entire area has become a text area where you can post from. I don't know why or how the size if this area got bigger, but it seems that's what has happened (or maybe this is javascript issue?)

Does anyone know where to change the size of this editor texting area at?

Did you check your usercp and make sure you do not have Basic Editor checked in the Message Editor Interface options?

THANK YOU Ozzy!

That seems to have fixed it. Somehow the hack changed the setting, but shouldn't the basic editor still have some buttons? :confused:

No, Basic Editor has nothing at all. I don't see anything in that mod tat says it should use the basic editor, but no biggie as long as you are good now. :)
