I'm trying to run phpAds in my message board but can't get it to display any ads or errors. I know I have it installed correctly because it works everywhere outside the message boards. I'm using the "require" and "view" approach.

At any rate, if anyone out there could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Don't use phpads new with vBulletin == hell for the server, cause for each banner view that means another mysql connection and like another 10 queries of more.

So if your board gets 3000 page views a day thats 3000 extra mysql connections and 30,000 extra queries.

I would like something (free) that I can use HTML banners, for various affiliate links in reporting.net and CJ.

You could use something like OrbitCycle or AdRotator. Or if you don't want a third-party hosting it, maybe AdCyle or WebAdverts. I don't think those use MySQL like phpAdsNew does.

I'm using phpAdsNew and it works great! Just use the Javascript code to generate your ads. Take a look: http://www.s2kca.com/forums
