hi all im trying to add a little irritation for image re-posters on my forum, I know im not going to be able to stop them, but its another step, my issue is I know how to do it, I put the following in headinclude and it worked everywhere but attachments.php, but that's the only place I want it.
any help would be appreciated.

Why would you really want to annoy your users? So they can't right click, then can still do a file save as, after opening the image in a new window... There isn't any html sent with the image itself either.

Thanks for replying @Zachery. I often wondered what the viewpoint was with someone with experience. I tend to think that anyone who wants to copy your content is definitely going to find a way to copy it. So the only people you are frustrating is those that just want to copy and paste for a non-destructive reason.

I know this and stated it, but I just want to add it in a given forum to add a little hoop for them to jump through, we have original content posters that feel we do not do enough to help them with the reposing issue.

If you don't want people sharing content, stop putting it on the internet.

Doing a search of "disable*" in the vb4 mods/titles only gives me this - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=237481&highlight=disable%2A It says it's for guests, but it just has a condition around the code, so just remove that if you want it for all users.

thank you Lynne, I saw that but thought it would be no good because of the guest situation, but it may work

@Ukdlai - I believe @zachery was replying to my comment, not yours. He probably just forgot to quote me so the reference was lost.

Mostly, but its the truth. If you don't want people to repost content outside of your site, stop posting content on your site, and the problem is fixed.
All you do is hurt the real users who like and use your site, to annoy the annoying ones. Annoying 99 users, because 1 is a problem, is not the answer.

I have to agree with Zachery on this. You don't want to 'punish' your good users because of one bad one. Just something to think about.

Yeah no matter what you do, if someone wants to grab your content they will, so doing anything to annoy your true users is just silly.

My daughter runs a board for artwork, and we watermark everything before it is posted. Makes it a bit difficult for someone to re-post or reuse the artwork. We have been able to display high resolution artwork with almost no infringement incidents -- that we know of. This seems to please most of the artists. We also run a very technical disclaimer, to protect us.
I hope this helps you.
