Hello,

I would like to make a few changes to the user profile page in my forum, www.chattive.com (http://www.chattive.com), and I need your assistance please.

The changes are as follows:
1. Take only the friends activity part of "My Activity" tab, and place it in a different URL (www.chattive.com/friends.php for example). That URL will be in the userbar for each user, displaying his (and only his) friends' activity. I know this is possible, I saw it in another forum, but I don't know which template to edit and what code to copy and paste on the new page.

2. Make the Avatar be shown instead of a profile picture (but in the same size as the profile picture) and only there, not in the avatar field lower which I want to completely remove form the profile page. The avatar should of course be seen in all posts too. That makes it only one picture available for a user, shown only once (and in a big size) in his profile page and in all of his posts. In fact, this is exactly the same as VB5.

Now for the AdminCP... My forum is very likely to have at some point administrators that I do not know personally. I am aware of the risks, but there will be uncompromising filtrers. This is a part of the concept and I know it works. Still, I would like to have some protection and limitations and for that I need your help.
The admins will be able to admin users, and I wish to revoke their option of editing passwords. I know it can be done by making the password field not visible for them.
In addition, I need them to be able to access "Access Masks", but not the whole usergroup permissions thing, I don't want them to be able to change permissions, no matter the usergroup, only access masks.
Preferably, if possible I wish to revoke their option to delete users and to make other users administrators.
I tried doing this by creating a separate, customized ACP in a different URL (not /index.php, as described in this guide (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=83122)), but unfortunately I am not familiar with PHP and I couldn't make it work, so I'm asking here.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you! :)

It was nice that explained your whole project, it tells us what direction you are going in. I can appreciate that. The problem I had is where did you need the help. Your help request really needs to be centered on a single issue. You have a whole project there.

Maybe you were seeking paid help. If you were, you're posting in the wrong forum.

Rephrase to a single question or re-post in the right forum. Then myself or others can assist you.

Anyway, I can see this is your first post so I am trying to be helpful :)

Firstly thank you for the reply.

This is a collection of minor changes I want to make but couldn't find solutions myself online. I assume some of them I just did not understand.
I need help with 1, 2 and 3, and I also need help with limiting my administrator permissions but more specifically than what vBulletin typically allows.

No, I am not seeking paid help. It maybe looks like a lot but it actually isn't, it's just my elaborate explanation.

Let me know if you need any more details. Thanks in advance!

Here is my suggestion:

Start on one of those coding projects you have, as you run into a stumbling block post your question your code and anything else we would need to assist you. You will find that the community will come to your rescue. Keep the thread to a single problem.

Not to many people here want a project, they pretty much have two or three of their own. I see a lot of unpaid requests, I never see any of them being worked on.

I think the community motto is "We help those that help themselves". Of course I am only speaking for myself, but I am trying to point you in the right direction.

When you begin with vbulletin you end up tearing someones mod apart and modifying it to suit your needs. I would never run anybody's code on my system until I have thoroughly checked it out anyways.

I am helping myself, I already paid enough for this project, you think I did not try to solve these questions myself before? I've been working on this project for over a month, and these issues are not new. I wouldn't just open a thread about a simple question I can easily find its answer myself. I tried helping myself, with the particular issues described here, sadly I did not succeed very well.
But fine, if that's the way it works here, I will open 4 threads one-by-one...

Hey don't be upset with me, I do not speak for anyone else here at vbulletin.org. I am not associated in anyway with the owners of this board. I am just giving you my practical experience here and I was giving it to you in good spirit. Somehow you missed my point entirely, I am sorry for that.

No one will do that work for free

Which is why I opened a thread in "Requests for Paid Services", but if it's just something tiny I have been missing all along and someone is feeling generous, it would be greatly appreciated.

If it is just something tiny, you can get help by posting your code. Then someone will most likely help you, if you are nice. As @ForceHSS and I already suggested the work isn't tiny.
