I just loaded VB 4.2.1, I am still learning the customizing side but would like to add some tabs and have them link to standalone pages...

I have searched for any info on this and if I have missed it I apologize. It looks like it has been done with plugins and code for earlier versions although nothing for 4.2.1.

Our site, ... I would like to have an About Us page that just links to a page entitled just that. I can create the tab(it is done) and I can create an article, I only see an option to have the article placed under The Front Page. I would like it to be its own standalone page at /AboutUs, I would also like a few more like that. When I create the about us page from the static dropdown the page ends up being something like /content.php?119-aboutus.

What am I not seeing? Is there a pemalinks default that I missed?

To clarify, I want to be able to add a page to this CMS and have a permalink to that standalone static page within the cms, not linking out.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated it seems to me that this should be an easy task, in wordpress as a CMS it would be.

Also is there any way of having the domain be just that, it always goes to /content.php??

Thank you in advance.

I have seen this about 4.2

Any pages created that way still fall under The Front Page and don't have regular permalinks. I created a static page with the seo friendly alias as AboutUs and I get to the page by going to

Something is not right here...

Thanks Dave, i saw the second link, my understanding is it is more for versions prior to 4.2.1

I will try the third link tho, it looks like it will work for my issue. Will update.

Thank you.
