Hi All,

I' hopeful a kind soul on here can assist and point me in the right direct with this...

I recently exported my vBulletin database and imported into an email client to allow me to send monthly email newsletters.

From my first campaign, I've had 1,000s of Bounced Emails - on inspection, I've noticed a lot of the accounts still regularly use the forum.

My question then is, would it be possible to force/prompt these accounts to re-verify their email account when they login?

Thanks

Did you verify what those emails were bounced for?

Check one of the bounced emails in the email log on the server first.

By default there isnt a tool for doing that.

Thanks snakes.

I'm using Amazon SES which advises they're Hard Bounces?

I assumed there would be demand for a Mod which encouraged/prompted users to keep their email up to date - I searched and searched without avail! - Even one that just prompted Users to update their basic details every 180 days or so.

Ultimately, I want to take this list of Usernames and Email addresses and move them from 'Registered Users' and place them in 'Users Awaiting Email Confirmation' - I don't suppose you know the easiest method to do just that?

Sorry, but there has never been a bounced email hack/addon that functioned in that way, there is no easy way for you to do that via vbulletin either, not through the user move feature anyway.

PhP script to check against the user table for the emails listed, then a change to their usergroup, should do it, but would require a custom script.

Even if you do move them to that group, the email verification email via cron isnt going to reach them.
