Imho most coders were fed up with vb 5 and IB and have moved away to other platforms. Other who have stayed are not coding for vb anymore.

Yep, the vB4 buz was good, but they just went all wrong with vB5 and other things about another software we won't mention.
It's lost what it once had, but there is a buzz over on another Forum software place, which I like so much more than vB5.

I can only speak for myself. I have coded for vB3 and vB4 and have written several tutorials here on vb.org. vB4 was a disaster in the beginning, and it took IB 2,5 years to get it into an usable state. They had the chance to show people they could come up with a solid software, but vB5 is an even bigger disaster, and again they started selling it in a state that is hardly alpha quality. I will not touch it with a stick, and I won't write a single line of code for it.

I'm DP's member since Feb 2008, I was so surprised when DP moved to the new software too :-)

I wasn't surprised as I knew he'd been working hard to get it right, and also waiting to make sure the court case got cleared too.

I think many people were waiting for the court case to end.

I know of at least one site running both right now that is seriously considering a full change. It will all depend on one mod being converted. ;)

I used a wink smile that time hoping you'd get me, but ok just playing.
Good to see more moving over the the newer and better software, hope to see more of the bigger names move over there too in the future.;)
