Okay, this question may be basic, but...
We have a Custom Usergroup that a Promotion in the Registered Default Usergroup moves (?) members into. My question is does the promotion actually 'move' members, or just 'add' them to the additional usergroup? Why am I even asking? Because I want/need to delete the Custom Usergroup. Obviously, I don't what to inadvertently delete members by doing so!

Answered my own question. Deleting a Custom Usergroup causes all members who were part of that group to revert back to the Registered Users group.
