Hi Everyone,

I have a few technical issues with moving my vBulletin site over to a new domain name using an add-on domain in my hosting account (Bluehost)! :-(

What I did was as follows:

Closed the current forum

Download a backup of the SQL database

Downloaded a copy of all vBulletin files from the old location

Setup and assigned the addon domain on the server, which gives me a folder “public_html/qnp” to place my files in but also assigns a subdomain “qnp.jamesdoylephoto.com” (This subdomain is required for cPanel. You will still be able to access your domain name directly by going to qldnaturephoto.com.)

Upload the vBulletin files to your new location and put them in the “QNP” folder.

Edited the config.php to match the database settings, keeping the same table prefixes, although I didn’t change the database because I’m using the same database as before.
Logged in to vbulletin customer area on vbulletin.com and updated the forum URL
Removed the old files from the server.

When I go to login to the admin panel, I get the login screen and I enter my details and after a second or two a message comes up for about a second and says something like “redirecting you”, then it just goes back to the login screen. If I just put in the URL which the public would use I get the site but there is no theme or formatting and if you try to login nothing happen at all.

I can’t point you to the site as I have removed the files until I can work out how to get it to work.

Any assistance would be appreciated!
