How do I change the color of the sidebar and its font?

Hi, guys. I searched for it, but I really didn't know what to do.

I have a sidebar on my forum:

Thing is... I want to change the default gray color of the sidebar and, of course, the black font within it.

I tried to touch the sidebar.css but didn't really know how to do it.

Can you help me?

Don't edit the css directly, change the stylevars for sidebar instead.
