I would like to know is there a vB mod that would allow or disallow a user or a usergroup to access threads according to the prefix used ? In plain words, I want to restrict access to adult content for members who would prefer it this way, and at my place, the adult content is not limited to a section in particular. Only prefixes are used for that. Thanks.

Did you ever find an answer for this? I could use this type of mod too. I would like to combine discussion forums, one for members and one for paid study group. Then restrict access to certain threads in the new forum based on prefix so only the paid study group could access the materials linked in that thread.

Added suggestions/more options:
Admin CP -> Thread Prefixes -> Thread Prefix Manger (http://i.imgur.com/sgWlEwG.png) -> Add Prefix Set (http://i.imgur.com/40AHtKe.png):

Single-Selection Radio Buttons/ Single-Selection Menu:
- No changes. (what the vbulletin default currently is)
- For this prefix, usergroups who can't use this prefix will be able to view the thread, but will not be able to reply in the thread.
- For this prefix, usergroups who can't use this prefix will see a post/view count but when the thread is clicked, a no permission page appears.
- For this prefix, usergroups who can't use this prefix will see private and when the thread is clicked, a no permission page appears.
- For this prefix, usergroups who can't use this prefix will not be able to see the thread at all.
