Need to remove the 'reply' button from a forum

Hi, I have just change the settings to one of the forums in my list so that threads can be started but not replied to. This is fine, except the 'reply' button still shows and people obviously try and click it only to get the 'you do not have the permissions' message. Does anyone know of a way around this problem please?

So you set Forum is Open to No?

and

Act as Forum, Forum is Active, Index New Posts in Search Engine are all Yes?

This setting does not matter

No, the forum is open. I went into the forum permissions section and set the individual usergroup permissions to uncheck 'can reply to others threads'
