hi , i want to run Vbulletin forum

Hello Team,

I want to run VBulletin forum with version 4.2.1 , In future vbulletin may launch 4.2.2 or 4.3.0 .

is it mandatory for me to install those updates ? if i don't install what may happen ? hacking etc ?

I heard that installing updates may mess the site theme etc.

any suggestions ?

It isn't mandatory to install the updates, but it is suggested to do so. Not all styles will break during an upgrade. It is suggested to set up a set site so that you may do a test upgrade and see if your style, or any modifications, are broken during the upgrade.

If it's a security upgrade then yes do it.If its simply a bug fix update,then don't bother as the expense will land with you as with all major updates of vb4 have been..The first thing to break will be the theme..
