Usernote in Postbit

Hi,

I managed to bring the Usernotes in top of the Tabs in the Memberprofile.
We do this because we were searching for a way for the staff to add hidden info about an user. This works very well but now I want additionaly to show a small icon only to mods in the postbit area if a user has a note.

So how can I:

check if a user has a note and if yes show an image/link to that note?

I don't think note count is stored or accessible outside of the memberinfo template.

You'd need to have a plugin to check for the note count value, and if there is one run another query to grab that notes data and include it for display in the postbit.

I am willed to add a plugin, no problem.
Issue is I have no idea how this is working.
Maybe one of the other coders can write me the code snippet here?
