Auto Delete Post is at least X days ago
I own several forums and don't see a positive use for this mod. Removing threads entirely, unless they are useless, will cut down on your search engine listings and keywords. I dominate the search engines because of my 450k+ posts and 45K+ threads. Removing them would drop my listings and anyone else who uses this.

Totally agree. I have had a couple of new users come to my forum because of old threads and they have revived those old threads, one of which was from 2007.
There may be time-limited threads (For Sale, etc.) where this might be useful but even then you are deleting part of the site that verifies longevity and helps you to rank in search engines.
Closing old threads may have some value (although I don't do that either). Deleting old threads is a mistake not only from a member poi t of view but also from an SEO point of view.

You're wrong. This mod is useful when:
When administrator does not have time management forum and your forum does not allow anyone (including moderators) are removed from the post, they are only allowed to move this post to trash.
So, after the post was deleted after x days and admin can manage (view, edit, delete from the database) after they return to the forum.
Sry for my bad English.

Your bad English isn't a problem. The problem is your ill advised add-on. :)

Although I agree with 'djbaxter' on deleting posts. To me: 'data is king'. I wanted to make sure that you were given praise for sharing with the community. There will always be someone out there that this is the perfect modification for them. So thank you :)

Yes, tbworld is correct.

thank you for this plugin! Marked as installed! :)
people are saying this is not useful because they don't need this plugin
It isn't that we don't need this mod, it's that we know the relevance of content and realize deleting that content is jeopardizing to our search engine listings. If someone doesn't care about content, then this will work great for them. Those of us who have been running forums for any extended amount of time already know better. It would be better to move old threads to a graveyard that can be indexed still opposed to removing it entirely.

This is great, I use my forums for a lot of gig guides and events, no good keeping them after the event

Cant get this to run, tried running manually and it says done but no threads are removed from selected forum.

Would be best if this applies to soft-deleted posts.
Auto-prune X days old soft-deleted posts.
Now that's fantastic and I'll bet my right arm it will be MOTM the next month.

If this mod works as advertised then I want it. I have a classified section on my forum and ads are deleted (by me) after 60 days. So this would save me a hell of amount of work.
