Cron link missing

Before I dig around, does anyone know offhand what would cause the cron image link to disappear in the templates? I've double checked and it's in the templates between the two lines of commenting, but it doesn't show up on the page.

If there is no task to be run at the moment and you view the page source, it will look just like this: <!-- Do not remove cronimage or your scheduled tasks will cease to function -->

There is only a line between the two comments line if a cron job is supposed to be started.

its always missing though and i'm getting session table full errors. That's what led me to investigate that.

Look at your Scheduled Tasks Manager - are all the Next Times listed as in the future? Is there anything in your error_logs regarding the cron.php file?
