My server went down for some reason and after my host brought it back up I've been getting this error on my site
Database Error Database error
The AstroPID database has encountered a problem.
Please try the following:
Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
Open the astropid.com home page, then try to open another page.
Click the Back button to try another link.
The astropid.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
You can see it here: http://astropid.com/forums/content.php
I have no idea how to even begin to look because of a lack of an actual error and my host is being no help.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

you on cloudflare
Yeah, I am. However I turned off cloudflare all last night and it didn't change anything.

Cloudflare runs your Nameservers for your domain turning this off or deleting it causes it to stop your site from working. You will need to login into your host and put them back to what they where

This isn't the issue, I've used cloudflare for over a year without issue. Plus you can see at http://astropid.com it works but at http://astropid.com/forums/ doesn't work, I think it's not connecting to the mysql properly.

Did you add a new plugin or change something before this happened

Try re-uploading all your core vbulletin files via ftp, make sure not to re-upload install/install.php and make the changes you need to includes/config.php before upload, there's no need to upload the images file again.

What is the actual database error getting mailed to you?

No, nothing was added or changed.

Okay I'll try this.

That's another strange thing, no error or anything is being shown or emailed.

You didn't accidentally delete your config.php file? Or not enter the correct information into it? (And when you check it, make sure the email entered in there is valid for getting the database errors.)

Well due to our server being configured weird I need to wait for the host to turn off the iptables so I can look around but unless they did something when we went down, there shouldn't have been anything changed.

Okay I'm looking at my config file and everything looks fine, I guess I'll try uploading files.

I replaced all of the files and the issue is still happening... this is so frustrating.

putting in a support ticket would be the next step

Your main site address (http://astropid.com) works because it's an HTML document, not PHP. And it doesn't access the database at all.
It looks to me like either your database is completely gone, or the info in config.php is in fact wrong. But the part that bothers me most is that you're not getting any email. That could be a site configuration problem where the site is unable to send email.
So like ForceHSS said, a support ticket might be needed.

My host is currently taking a look and trying to fix it so hopefully they can do something, otherwise I'll put a support ticket in.
Thanks guys
