* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

Very nice. Looks good visually and works with 4.2.1.

I hope this one doesn't conflict with any basic vBulletin functions like some of the others did.

Thank you.
Really like your version of this kind of MOD.
Was easy to install. Just had to play a bit with the "padding" in the templates to match better my customized style.
Being able to remove the "sticky" prefix is another great option.

That is the way it is supposed to be, one is for the Sticky Threads, and the other is for the Normal Threads.

The very top one that is there above everything else is there by vBulletin default.

Hey Ozzy just something else i came upon while testing this out was mentioned in earlier posts when you have another release could you perhaps put this in

a option in the stylevar so we can change the padding on this not all my skins but some were low due to the style.. i went in to edit templates and got it but would be a whole lot easier in the stylevar with the other 2 to change the color ...

thanks in advance

Is there an option to enable/disable the normal threads text and enable/disable the sticky threads text as well?

v1.3.0 adds an option that will remove the Sticky Threads and Normal Threads text as well as the header, subheader and collapse sticky ability.

It will essentially just separate the sticky and normal threads with a space.

In the templates, ozzy_separate_stickies_normal, ozzy_separate_stickies_stickies and ozzy_separate_stickies_stickies_nocoll you can look for this:

<div class="threadlisthead table" style="background:{vb:stylevar blocksubhead_background}; color: {vb:stylevar blocksubhead_color};">You can change, background:{vb:stylevar blocksubhead_background}; to something like, background:red;

Changing red to suit your needs. That will change the background.

To change the text color, change, color: {vb:stylevar blocksubhead_color}; to something like, color:red;

Next...lol...
How about the ability to define the actual image name instead of the need to over write the current one. Maybe a field to place the physical file name with a note noting the default image name and location of images directory? Or even better a drop down that reads the image directory so you can upload a few? And now thinking even further maybe the ability to define a different image per forum? (This would be for bother sticky & normal thread images)

Thanx again :D

ozzy47

Most of that may be possible, the different images per forum might be kinda tricky though. I can look into the suggestions during the next major upgrade.

Hello,
I really liked this plugin but it does not work my way, I'd like it to suit your style, but I need your help.
It looks at me: http://scr.hu/0nw5/cokpb

I would like the beam of a red arrow was replaced by my beam is carrying a yellow arrow.
Just let the beam with a yellow arrow will replace the beams with red arrows.

I have the following settings:

And everything works fine, except it screws up the formatting on sticky threads on the forumdisplay in the mobile style. Any idea?

hey!

i did - with no success :(, but i solved it another way.

i put this code into the includes/config.php file: define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); (i think it disables all plugins and add-ons) and so i got access to the "plugin management" and i could uninstall the plugin.

after that i removed define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); from the includes/config.php and my forum was fine again :).

thanks anyway :).

Where am I supposed to upload the contents of the upload folder?

If you wouldn't mind, try adding some line breaks to your readme file so that it's readable.

Barcham
03-14-2014, 03:53 PM
The readme file is perfectly readable for me. As for where to upload the contents of the 'upload' folder, simply copy the ozzy47 folder to your forum root directory.

Here is the readme file section that pertains to installation...

Upload all files from the "UPLOAD" folder to your forums directory.

2. Import the product-ozzy_separate_stickies.xml file from the "XML / vB4" folder at AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products ->
Add/Import Product

3. That's it, now you will have separate stick threads from normal threads.

4. You can change the setting for this mod in, ACP / Settings / Options / Ozzy: Separate Sticky Threads Settings.

5. There is two stylevar settings that you can use to change the text color of the text Sticky Threads and Normal Threads. They can be found in your styles under the group Ozzy47Mods.

<div class="threadlisthead table" style="background:{vb:stylevar blocksubhead_background}; color: {vb:stylevar blocksubhead_color};">

to?:
<div class="threadlisthead table" style="background:{vb:stylevar blocksubhead_background}; color:red;">

Doesn't seem to work for me,I have all the settings checked correct.
-Change Sticky Threads/Prefix Color /Yes
-Apply Color Change To? / Sticky Prefixes And Titles
-Forums To Allow Color of Sticky Prefix/Title/ All selected (except for "None" option obviously)

I'll try again after dinner, hopefully I can make it work :D

Edit:

I wasn't able to get the color function working. :(

What is it exactly you are wanting to change, provide a screenshot.

I was trying to change color of the text, just as your example here:

Have you tried on a unmodified default style?

Default style. vBulletin 4.2.2
No biggie, looks good the way it is :)

Thanks.

Do the items that you want changed actually change color though?

Nothing changes, already tried to "play" with the options, see if work with/without some of them.
There's only one line to change in each template: ozzy_separate_stickies_normal, ozzy_separate_stickies_stickies and ozzy_separate_stickies_stickies_nocoll .

Or maybe this is what I'm doing wrong?

color: {vb:stylevar blocksubhead_color}
to:
color: red

As I mentioned before, no biggie works well the way it is.:)

This should read like this:

color: red;

If you left semicolon ( ; ) out, it could lead to your problems.

Semicolon it's there.
As I mentioned here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2528807&postcount=184)
The above text was just to show exactly what I was changing in templates.

Did you give link to your site, i.e. forum where you have this enabled? So we can see HTML code and inspect it?

Also, maybe browser's cache can intervene and prevent you from seeing changes immediately. I experience it sometimes on FireFox. On Opera I see change, but not on FireFox. Anyway, if you follow all syntax, it should work...

Glad to hear you got it sorted, I would be willing to bet you forgot to load the files before importing the XML. :) Thanks for marking as installed. :)

I uploaded the files incorrectly.

Never uploaded Mods by myself before so it was a learning curve.

I worked it out after reading through all previous posts though.

Cool, for future reference, you could read through this article, www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=201864

Installed, works well except for one minor problem. I have the ability to collapse the stickies set to YES and I have selected the groups allowed to do it but I cannot see the little arrow to actually collapse them.

This is a very minor point and I'm not particularly concerned, just curious as to what the cause might be.

Otherwise, great mod.

I'll see if I can replicate that when I get a chance.
