Multi Threads on Forumpage

Can anyone guide me how to show multiple thread titles with clickable links on forum homepage by default it shows only the latest thread title with clickable link to that thread. Its like a news with category on top and lets say 5 latest posts from that forum under that category forum.
I want to build the theme like a news portal.

By default the single post is shown on the main forum page like this

What I want to do is show lets say latest 5 threads from that same forum on main forum page... Like this..

OR say if to show only the headings from the same forum.

This is just a concept. What do I have to do to increase the limit of number of posts from the same forum.

If you have a small board then this is possible. The increase load on a large board would not make it practical. If you can manipulate the template code and know some basic PHP, MySQL then you have the prerequisites to under take this product. This is not a project where you can just get a few lines of code from someone to make it happen.
